The new 12-inch Asus Eee PC 1215N was already announced in June, but just now got published on the Asus site according to EeePCNews. The appearance of the 1215N on the Asus site is an indicator that this powerful netbook is going on sale soon. The latest date for the release we reported about is August 23rd.
The Asus Eee PC 1215N runs on the Intel Atom D525 1.8Ghz CPU and NVIDIA ION graphics with NVIDIA Optimus technology.
The Asus 1215N is capable of smooth, crystal-clear playback of high definition videos in 1080p on its 1366 x 768 HD widescreen display with 16:9 display ratio. Hardware decoders embedded within the 1215N perfectly decode H.264, VC1 and MPEG2 file formats while the HDMI-output port enables Full HD 1080p playback on large screen displays.
Other features of this high-end netbook include 12.1" LED Backlight WXGA screen (1366x768px), USB 3.0, Wi-Fi 802.11n, up to 320GB HDD, 500GB webstorage, webcam, HDMI port, up to 4GB RAM and 6 cells Li-ion Battery Pack (6hrs).
