After Disney decided against making The Sorcerer's Apprentice in 3D (a mistake on their part, obviously), Nicolas Cage has now landed one of his first 3D roles in the upcoming movie Drive Angry.
The action/adventure flick features Cage as a man who seeks vengeance against the criminal who murdered his daughter. It's not the typical light and fluffy fare that has been associated with 3D as of late, and should help push the new 3D momentum into a broader scope.
The movie is being shot in true 3D and will be in theaters next year.
