The list of Blu-ray 3D content is still very slim but it's starting to grow, as Warner Home Video has just announced its first three titles, all of which are re-released IMAX movies.
IMAX: Under the Sea 3D, IMAX: Deep Sea 3D, and IMAX: Space Station 3D will all be coming to the new high-def disc format.

Unfortunately, like almost all of the Blu-ray 3D movies that have been made so far, these titles will only be available as an incentive offer to buy a 3D TV or 3D Blu-ray player. They will not be placed on store shelves anywhere.

Beginning today, anyone in the US or Canada who buys an LG BX580 or BX585 Blu-ray 3D player will be able to send away for a free copy of IMAX: Under the Sea 3D.

IMAX: Space Station 3D is only available to people who buy a Blu-ray 3D player, Blu-ray 3D home theater, 3D projector, or 3D TV from LG, but only in Europe, Asia, South America, and Central America.

Finally, IMAX: Deep Sea 3D will be made free to people all around the world who buy a Sony Blu-ray 3D player, 3D TV, or 3D glasses.

All titles are available through a mail-in offer that requires consumers to send in proof of purchase along with a special form.

"We are thrilled to collaborate with LG and Sony in support of their Blu-ray 3D hardware launches while also seeding the market with a more diverse selection of Blu-ray 3D titles for consumers to enjoy," said Warner SVP Dorinda Marticorena.
