Sharp launches Solar hybrid mobile phone for SoftBank in Japan. The SoftBank 842H 3G flip phone has a solar panel on the cover.
Besides the solar cell the SoftBank 842H has more capabilities that make it a fin outdoor companion. The 842H is waterproof and dustproof.
The solar cell used on the 842H is able to generate enough energy with 10 minutes of sunlight to talk 2 minutes or get 3 hours of stand-by.
The SoftBank 842H comes in blue, white and red and starts shipping end of July.
