UK TV network Sky is set to become the first to launch a permanent 3D channel in just a little over a month and will air a big selection of sports and movies.
Sky already broadcasts 3D programs at more than 1,500 pubs across the country, and now people at home will get to experience everything the network has to offer.
Some of the first movies confirmed to be broadcast on the new channel is Monsters vs Aliens, Alice in Wonderland, and Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince.
Matches from the Premier League will be broadcast in 3D as well, along with concerts and other special programming.
In the US, DirecTV has also launched its own suite of 3D channels, but the only network available through multiple TV providers is ESPN 3D. The majority of paid TV subscribers, though, still have no 3D content available.
