Netflix, the popular online movie delivery / streaming service that has helped to murder Blockbuster, may soon have an Android app. Android Central reports that, during a Q&A on Reddit, a Netflix employee let slip that an app for the nation's most popular smartphone platform could be imminent. While such an application has been conspicuously absent for a while now, Netflix is apparently working with devs to remedy that.
"I just know we're actively hiring Android devs. I wish I knew more about a timeframe for you. Good things come to those who wait. Netflix is essentially a tech company and with the way Android is blowing up it would be stupid of us to ignore that."
So there you have it. Netflix will come to a smartphone near you at some point in the next...period of time. Sure, the info is vague. At least we now have confirmation that an Android app is en route.
