The new 2010 Mac Pro can be ordered now on the Apple Store. Apple announced the updated Mac Pro line in July including the new top of the line 12-Core Mac Pro.
Today you can buy a 12-Core Mac Pro starting at $4,999 on the Apple Store. The delivery of your new Mac Pro takes 7-10 business days.
The base configuration of the 12-Core Mac Pro includes two 2.66 Ghz 6-Core Intel Xeon "Westmere" CPUs, 6GB RAM, 1TB HDD, 18x double-layer SuperDrive and AT Radeon HD 5770 with 1GB GDDR5.
To configure the 12-Core Mac Pro with the faster 2.93Ghz Xeon CPUs cost you a cool $1,200 more. It is surprisingly easy to configure a Mac Pro to surpass the $10k price-tag.
The entry price for a new Mac Pro starts at $2,499 for a Quad-Core machine.
