Western Digital makes all manner of storage solutions and media playing gear. The company has announced a new product that combines both playback and external storage.

The device is called the WD Elements Play and packs in either 1TB or 2TB of storage into a device that connects directly to your Pc and TV. The player supports full 1080p content and multiple video formats. Those formats include RMVB, H.264, and MKV among others.

The device has connectivity options including USB, HDMI, component, and Composite. It measures 1.6" H, 8.9" L, 5.9" W, and weighs 2.13 pounds. Pricing and availability are unknown.
