Dell Streak US Launch: August 12

The Dell Streak will open up for pre-order on August 12, this Thursday. Dell has announced via press release that general availability will come the very next day, August 13, through their Mobile Store. The Streak will set you back $299.99 with a 2-year AT&T contract. It'll cost $549.99 with no contract.

Pre-ordering gets you "free" second-day shipping and a coupon good for one Plantronics Bluetooth headset for 99 cents. The Streak has a 5" capacitive touchscreen, 5 MP camera, front-facing VGA camera, 3G, WiFi & Bluetooth. It has 2 GB of internal storage. The processor is the now-ubiquitous 1 GHz Snapdragon. The Streak comes with a microSD slot capable of taking up to a 32 GB card.
