Sony launches a new "event space" in its virtual online community PlayStation Home, for PS3 users today, which lets them sort of kind of get a look at the new PlayStation Move controller.
The "Presentation Podium" inside Home is more about getting people more aware of Move than it is actually showing off the device's technology. After all, it's something that a real person - not an online avatar - has to feel to really experience.
Nevertheless, Sony is using the platform to get people super pumped about the new peripheral's launch next month. Gamers can even get a special virtual PS Move t-shirt for their Home avatar.
Players can also participate in a mini-game that simulated the movement of the Move controller, though it's done through a standard PS3 controller configuration.
Still unclear is how the launch of Move will actually affect PlayStation Home. The development team behind the alternate online reality is surely working on integrating the motion controller into Home, but we haven't seen any details on exactly what kind of functionality it plans to bring.
Regardless, for those who are just brimming with excitement about next month's Move launch, head over the Home and get a close-up look at a digital representation of what the brand spanking new motion controller actually looks like.
