The iLuv i1166: Multimedia Perfection is Finally Here

Buy iLuv i1166 from Amazon Cyber Monday and Black Friday Now

The iLuv i1166 was originally bound to launch months ago, but delays have kept it off the market until now. Thankfully, it's just as hot today as it was when it won the Best of Innovation Award in CES 2009. (Gearlog) You can buy one right now for $299.99.

The iLuv looks like a slate, but its form is rather deceiving. It has an 8.9" TFT LCD display, but it breaks open to reveal an iPhone/iPod dock connector and a DVD player. It has USB slots and SD card slots on the side, and two stereo headphone jacks for long airplane rides with a friend. There's even a remote control and a rear kickstand, for additional convenience.

This nifty travel gadget can charge via AC or car adapter and also packs a battery for those times when you can't plug in. It supports all these formats; CD / VCD / SVCD / DVD / CD-R / CD-RW / DVD±R / DVD±RW / DivX / MP3 / WMA / JPEG.

About the Geek Mind

The “geek mind” is concerned with more than just the latest iPhone rumors, or which company will win the gaming console wars. I4U is concerned with more than just the latest photo shoot or other celebrity gossip.

The “geek mind” is concerned with life, in all its different forms and facets. The geek mind wants to know about societal and financial issues, both abroad and at home. If a Fortune 500 decides to raise their minimum wage, or any high priority news, the geek mind wants to know. The geek mind wants to know the top teams in the National Football League, or who’s likely to win the NBA Finals this coming year. The geek mind wants to know who the hottest new models are, or whether the newest blockbuster movie is worth seeing. The geek mind wants to know. The geek mind wants—needs—knowledge.
