Aiptek will exhibit their new 3D camcorder i2 at the IFA 2010 at a 130m2 booth. The Aiptek i2 is already listed on Amazon for pre-order, but still has no release date. The Aiptek 3D has two 5MP cameras inside, which record HD video at 720p in 2D.
The Aiptek 3D camcorder is apparently using an autostereo display to let you watch your 3D movies without glasses. The embedded software lets you publish 3D movies on Youtube. For these you need a 3D monitor and 3D glasses.
To get a 3D camcorder that actually has a 3D display integrated for $199 is an interesting offer. It will be interesting to see how good the 3D quality of the Aiptek i2 is. A German company called Jay-tech will also exhibit a budget 3D camcorder at the IFA 2010.
