Google's upcoming Chrome OS is the most promising thing to come out of the company since, well...Android. Now Download Squad reports to have received confirmation from an inside source that HTC is working on a Chrome OS tablet.
The rumored launch date is November 26th. That's Black Friday 2010, which would be the perfect date to launch a new tablet. No confirmed hardware specs yet, but the smart money is on a Tegra 2 chip, 2 GB of RAM, a 1280x720 multitouch display, GPS, a 32 GB SSD, WiFi, Bluetooth, 3G, GPS and all the other bells and whistles needed to compete with the iPad. As for price? The fact that this thing is Verizon-bound means a healthy subsidy.
