You might recall back earlier in the year a case surfaced where a school district in PA that provided students with Mac laptops was caught spying on the students using recovery software that activated webcams. The district had captured in the area of 56,000 images and screen shots using the software.
The FBI stepped in to investigate the issue and parents of students filed a suit against the district. The Feds have announced that there will be no charges filed against the school because there was no evidence of criminal intent.
The civil suit filed by parents is still pending; perhaps they can get some real justice there. All I know is, as a parent, if I found out the school was watching my kid using the webcam someone at that school would need a doctor.
