A week ago we already reported that HP will release a webOS Tablet not in 2010 anymore. Now HP has made this official in their quarterly earnings call according to NetworkWorld. HP will though launch a Windows Tablet soon.
The Apple iPad will be a hot Christmas gift and if Apple actually still releases a 7-inch iPad with a lower price point the competition will have a very, very hard time. Decent Android Tablets are expected for Fall from Samsung and other big brands. They will need to convince consumers that their offering is as good as the iPad and its iTunes eco-system.
A late launch often times closes the door on significant market-shares. Maybe the only place webOS is really going to thrive in the future is in printers.
