T-Mobile G2: Late September Launch?

The T-Mobile G2 has been made official, but the carrier had neglected to fill anyone in on their launch plans. Now T-Mo News reports that the newest HSPA+ phone will be launching close to the end of September. While earlier rumors placed the release at or around the 9th, a "ninja" has given the 29th as the anticipated date.

A pre-sale will open up at some point before that date. We can look for the G2 to be priced at or around the same point as other high-end smartphones. Expect around $199.99 with a 2-year contract. With any luck, Amazon will cut in with a deal a few days / weeks after launch.
