When I was little my dad had a truck with a cobra CB radio in it. I thought it was cool that you could talk to people while driving and that was long before the first mobile phones started to hit the market. Cobra is now offering more than CBs with the unveiling of a new GPS device.
The new GPS system is called the 7750 Platinum and has a 7-inch screen making it a very large GPS device. The 7750 Platinum has a screen and interface optimized for use in direct sunlight and has a number of quick-tabs to make it easy to access information like weight stations coming up.
You might guess from the last feature that the GPS device is aimed at truckers. The 7750 offers turn-by-turn direction and keeps track of the State Mileage Logs automatically for the driver. It also has an Hours-of-Service timer for the driver and can track on and off duty time. The 7750 Platinum sells for $499.95.
