When I have to travel for work, I often take my netbook with me instead of a larger and heavier notebook. The only downside is that on a few occasions, I have needed to be able to get information off a CD or DVD and I can’t with my netbook.
If you have that problem, Apricorn has a new and very small optical drive called the EZ Writer II. The little optical drive can read and burn both CDs and DVDs. The device gets all the power it needs from a pair of USB ports on the host computer using a "Y" adapter.
The USB cable is integrated into the drive and the drive measures 0.84" x 5.75" x 5.95" and weighs only 11.7 ounces. You can pick up the EZ Writer II right now for $79 before a $25 mail-in rebate.
