Lenovo is getting pretty good at this whole "surprising the world with awesome ideas" thing. First the U1 Hybrid blew us out of the water, and now Lenovo is trying to drink the Kinect's milkshake by launching a hands-free gaming console.
The eBox will compete directly with the PS3, Xbox and Wii. If it sells, it will be the first major fourth console since the Dreamcast died its tragic death. It will be released by the end of the year in China and will roll out to the Asia-Pacific region and "other overseas markets" soon after. Details are tantalizingly light at this point. Who will make games for this console? When is a US launch planned? How pretty will it be?
Sometimes waiting can be agony.
