2011 Lincoln MKX Crossover SUV Gets Awesome THX Stereo Option

Ford may have killed off Mercury a while back, but Lincoln is still going strong. The new Lincoln MKX SUV is a very cool looking car on the inside and the car will get a new stereo option for 2011 with a massive THX certified surround sound system.

The THX II Certified audio system is a $995 option on the MKX for 2011 and packs in all sorts of cool tech. The system offers 5.1 surround sound and can upconvert your MP3s to surround sound as well. The optional stereo has 600W or power.

That power is fed out to 14 speakers strategically placed for ideal sound. The speakers include an 8-inch sub for bass and a THX Slot Center channel speaker. The system also has a 12-channel DSP controlled amplifier. The 2011 MKX will sound as good as it looks.
