The Apple Store just went into maintenance mode. The Apple Media event is not starting for another 90 minutes. This is a bit unusual as far as I remember. The latest rumors also suggested that the newly unveiled products like Apple TV, iPod touch 4G and new iPod nano 6G would not go on sale right away.
Now it looks like at least something will go on sale today. Most likely the new iPods will hit the Apple Store today already. The Apple store is not just down in the US, but also internationally indicating a global product launch.
The Apple Media Event will be streamed live today starting at 10am PDT.
