Steve Jobs has just announced the coming of iOS 4.1 at today's Apple Media Event. It will include bug fixes for the proximity sensor, Bluetooth and the iPhone 3G. The most exciting change has to be the inclusion of High Dynamic Resolution photos. This works by taking three photos in a row when you snap a shot. One normal exposure, one under-exposed, and one over-exposed. All three are combined into an HDR photo.
Each individual photo is ALSO saved in your photos folder, so you can pick any of them if you don't like the combined result. Game Center is also in iOS 4.1. It will allow you to create friend lists and combine multiplayer stats with your friends. Also included will be automatic matching that puts players of roughly equal skill together.
TV show rentals, rumored before the event, are also coming in iOS 4.1. This new update will be available next week for iPhone and iPod touch.
