During the keynote earlier this week, Steve Jobs announced that iOS was seeing 230,000 activations per day. He went on to claim that this was more than his competitors, who he suspected of counting upgrades into those numbers. This was clearly a thinly veiled jab at Android, and Google has come up with a response. (Fortune)
"The Android activation numbers do not include upgrades and are, in fact, only a portion of the Android devices in the market since we only include devices that have Google services."
So there you have it. Google is closing in on iOS and their high activation claims do not take upgrades into account. Any more jibes to make, Apple?
