New HTC HD3 Plans Leak

The HTC HD3 leaked out for the first time back in March. The early descriptions made it sound like a crazy-badass superphone, with a 1.5 GHz processor and improbably sized 4.5" display. It took a while, but now Smarthouse.au has that "senior executives" from HTC are going to formally unveil the HD3 on September 15. The London event will also unveil a new 2.2 running Desire and an Android tablet.

The HD3 is still billed as packing that ginormous 4.5" display, only now it is AMOLED (1200x800). It will have a dual-core 1.5 GHz processor, 1 GB of RAM, WiFi, 4G and 32 GB of storage, an 8 MP camera and 2 LED flashes. Expect HDMI-out and HD recording, along with an 1800 mAH battery and a 10mm body.

It will run Windows Phone 7, and launch first in Australia. Will it hit Sprint in the US? More info should be incoming as we get closer to the 15th...
