The new Apple TV is already here, but Google TV is coming.

Sony is showing at the IFA 2010 in Berlin a Google TV prototype. Google TV is running on Android and is using the Chrome browser supporting Flash 10.1 for most of the interface. According to Tech-On Sony only showed images of the Google TV interface and not a live system. Sony said though that the 40-inch LCD TV with Google TV is indeed operational.

Google TV allows you to access the web, TV and video content seamlessly in one interface. It is still unclear how close manufacturers actually are to bring a Google TV or Google TV box to the market.

The IFA 2010 Consumer Electronics Show will take place in Berlin from September 3rd to September 8th. The IFA 2010 is celebrating the 50th edition and we will be reporting about all the new announcements. Stay tuned for tons of 3D TV related news.
