CEA and ESPN organize 3D TV demo days at a local retailer near you.
CEA (Consumer Electronics Association), the guys who bring us CES, and ESPN announce the National 3D Demo Days. The National 3D Demo Days are a weekend-long event aimed at help educate you about 3D technology and how to bring the experience into your home. During 3D Demo Days, participating CEA-member retailers will demonstrate 3DTV with surround-sound so you can experience the latest technology before purchasing.
During National 3D Demo Days, ESPN 3D will broadcast continuous 3D programming to retail stores across the country, including live coverage of the Miami vs. Ohio State football game on Saturday, September 11, at 3:40 p.m. ET.
I totally recommend to see the 3D TVs yourself before making a purchase. From the 3D TVs I have seen, I came to the conclusion that only large high-end 3D TVs deliver a 3D experience that is interesting. Lower end and small 3D TV sets just do not deliver a quality 3D image that is immersive. So these National 3D Demo Days sound like a perfect opportunity to test drive 3D TVs. About the Geek Mind
The “geek mind” is concerned with more than just the latest iPhone rumors, or which company will win the gaming console wars. I4U is concerned with more than just the latest photo shoot or other celebrity gossip.
The “geek mind” is concerned with life, in all its different forms and facets. The geek mind wants to know about societal and financial issues, both abroad and at home. If a Fortune 500 decides to raise their minimum wage, or any high priority news, the geek mind wants to know. The geek mind wants to know the top teams in the National Football League, or who’s likely to win the NBA Finals this coming year. The geek mind wants to know who the hottest new models are, or whether the newest blockbuster movie is worth seeing. The geek mind wants to know. The geek mind wants—needs—knowledge.
