Apple has launched the iPad without video cameras. Now that the new iPod touch 4G also has cameras and supports FaceTime video conferencing the current iPad appears crippled. What is Apple going to do? The new iOS 4.2 release will be available for the iPad in November, bringing all features we have today on the iPhone 4 and more. 9 to 5 Mac posted an image that is supposed to show an iPad with FaceTime testing software in the wild.
I have my money on Apple releasing a new iPad in November that features two cameras. Most of the Android Tablets that pop up everywhere have cameras. A new iPad 2G with cameras would also kill this competitive issue. Besides that, video calling on an iPad should look really neat.
If you are an iPad owner, there is a chance that you get to buy a camera accessory for the iPad, but of course that will be less sleak than integrated cams.
