Most higher-end smartphones tend to leak out in a trickle, starting with vague renders and wild hypothesized features a few months prior to launch and narrowing to increasingly detailed (and accurate) info leading up to a total leak a few days/weeks before launch. The HD3, however, leaked out in one single gush of info last month.
A rumor several days ago confirmed these rumored stats, but added in the prediction of an AMOLED display. Now Fudzilla has a source claiming the same thing. Their guy also gives September 15 as date of the unveiling. The HTC HD3 will launch first in Australia.
It promises to be as droolworthy as the HD2 was in its heyday. There's a dual-core 1.5 GHz processor, 1 GB of RAM, WiFi, 4G, 32 GB of Storage and an 8 MP camera with dual-LED flashes. The AMOLED screen is a whopping 4.5" inches. Even if Windows Phone 7 proves underwhelming, this phone is set to build a generous fanbase.
