NVIDIA unveiled its latest line of notebook GPUs not long ago that are Fermi-based and included the GTX 460M. Asus has announced today that it is cramming the new GTX 460M GPU inside its G53 and G73 notebooks aimed at gamers.

The new GPUs are the first Fermi-based mobile GPUs from NVIDIA and are fully DirectX 11 compliant. The GPU has 1.5GB of GDDR3 memory and supports 3D gaming as well. The G53JW notebook gets the new GPU and can be optioned with a number of Intel Core i7, i5, or i3 CPUs, up to 8GB of RAM, and up to 750GB of storage. A 500GB SSD is also an option.

The G73JW can be fitted with the same hardware and only differs in the size of the screen. The G53 is a 15.6-inch machine and the G73 has a 17.3-inch screen. The notebooks will also have 3D screen options for gaming and can be fitted with a Blu-ray player as well.
