Apple unveiled the new iPod touch 4G last week and the "I am almost an iPhone 4" iPod is shipping this week with iOS 4.1 pre-installed. There is no question that the new iPod touch is the best iPod touch so far. There is no comparable device out there that gives you a retina display, HD video recording, gaming and all that comes with an Apple device through Apple's eco system. This is also the reason that all iPod touch 4G reviews are very positive. You need to look hard to find the negative things about the iPod touch. Among them are the lack of GPS and the still camera quality does not get too much praise. GPS would have been really nice to enable navigation.
Either way the new iPod touch is the ultimate digital media Swiss Army Knife for those who do not roll with an iPhone 4.
