The rumors have been correct. Apple has released the new iOS 4.1 update today. You can download it now in iTunes. The new iOS release brings the Game Center, iTunes TV show rentals, iTunes Ping, High Dynamic Range (HDR) photo capture and HD Video upload via Wi-fi. Some bug fixes, like the proximity sensor are also in this release. The big thing for gamers is Game Center. The iOS Game Center is a social network that includes automatic matchmaking for games, and also gives you the ability to challenge friends to games.

The new iOS 4.1 is neat update, but only iOS 4.2 brings wireless printing and AirPlay this November.
