October 11th is a date which will live in infamy. Either as the day a major player in the OS world was birthed and started its meteoric rise to power, or as the day of Microsoft's most well-publicized failure yet. Pocket-Lint reports that Windows Phone 7 will hit on October 11, 2010.
They've heard this from "multiple sources" who claim to be "familiar with the matter". New York will be the stage for the launch event, which will be beamed around the world. Since Pocket Lint is generally reliable and their sources are billed as "senior figures" in the industry, these rumors should be worth some weight.
