Best Buy released their Q2 earnings today.

Best Buy surprised today with higher than expected profits for their fiscal second quarter. According to Market Watch, Best Buy's profit rose ot $254m from $158 last year for the quarter. More importantely the consumer electronics retailer raised the forecast for the full year.

It looks like Best Buy is confident that the coming holiday shopping season will be successful for them. Best Buy played their cards pretty well in the past Black Friday sales season. I expect them again to be one of the stores online and offline to watch for great consumer electronics deals.

It is still unclear what products will drive the lion share of sales during Black Friday 2010. Yesterday we identified a 3D TV that most likely will be a Black Friday favorite. More Black Friday news.
