Droid Incredible owners, do you love your AMOLED display? If so, you'd best be careful to never break it. Your first gen Incredible is about to become irreplaceable. PocketNow reports that an image has been snapped of a Verizon note that claims "Customers purchasing a new Droid Incredible starting around late September will have a device with the SLCD screen".

So hang on to your AMOLED Incredible. And if you'd really like one of these phones with the current display, swing over to Verizon's website and purchase it now. Or, take the leap and be one of the first users to rate these new SLCD displays. Sure, they aren't AMOLED-but that has some advantages. Better battery life and sunlight performance, just to get started.
