When it comes to external storage solutions, NewerTech has been in the market for a long time with offerings for Mac and PC users. The company has unveiled its latest storage solution called the Guardian Maximus mini with quad interface technology.
The storage device has FireWire 800/400, USB 2.0, and eSATA connectivity and supports RAID 0 and 1. Storage devices with RAID support aren’t uncommon, but putting RAID into a portable device is uncommon. The mini measures 3.5" x 5.2" x 2.1" and weighs 1.5 pounds.
Inside the small case are two storage drives. The mini can be had with dual 500GB, 640GB, or 750GB HDDs inside for $249.99, $299.99, and $399.99 respectively. The device can also be had with SSDs with dual 200GB drives for $1349 and dual 400GB drives for $3299.
