Samsung unveiled the Galaxy Tab Android 2.2 Tablet at the IFA 2010. Now the roll-out of the Galaxy Tab starts around the world. In the UK the Samsung Galaxy Tab is on sale on Amazon UK for £679.99. The shipping date is still a bit murky with 1 to 3 months. The price of the 16GB Apple iPad Wi-fi + 3G is £529 in the UK. This also puts some doubt on the pricing Amazon UK is putting on the table here. It just does not make any sense to even be more expensive than the already expensive iPad.
On the other hand, Samsung is aiming to sell the Galaxy Tab through carriers, an unlocked Galaxy Tab is likely not their focus.
The specifications of the Galaxy Tab P1000 include ARM Cortex A8 1GHz, 16GB, 7 inch TFT LCD, 3G, Bluetooth 3.0 and Android 2.2.
