A new Sony PSP2 is rumored since a while. The last time we reported about it was in June when Sony made clear not to jump on the 3D band wagon with a PSP2. Mortal Kombat game developer told IndustryGames that they have a PSP2 in-house and that it is a pretty powerful machine.
CVG got a response from Sony on the matter that of course says: "We haven't announced any news on PSP."
What would make a new PSP an outstanding must-have new portable game console? For the new Nintendo 3DS it is clear that the novelty auto-stereo 3D screen is the reason to buy it. If the new PSP2 is not doing 3D what else is it doing better than the current PSP. Of course it can be thinner, have more storage, faster CPU, a higher resolution screen, motion control and be a phone. Any other ideas? (post in comments).
