Today, we have news that things may be even bleaker for those of you longing for a CDMA iPhone. Mike Abramsky, an analyst with RBC Capital Markets, said in a note today that Apple will be turning to T-Mobile and (maybe) Sprint to help them expand beyond AT&T. (AppleInsider)

Verizon fears their Android line would suffer "significant cannibalization", writes Abramsky, while Apple may be unwilling to play "second banana" to Android. Every day brings more Android users to Big Red, and makes the idea of a Verizon iPhone a little less likely. If Apple isn't willing to eat some crow here, they may find themselves locked out of an enormous market.
