We'd heard rumors earlier this summer of an October 11th launch for Windows Phone 7. Now BGR reports that Redmond has started sending out invitations to the media for a media event in London that same day. The 3.5 hour event starts at 9 AM, which certainly seems like a generous enough timeframe for a product launch. Earlier we reported that the Windows Phone 7 launch would be on October 21st in Europe and on the 8th of November in the US.
WP7 will be launching first in Europe. This event will probably feature a walkthrough and overview of the new OS, followed by some demos and hands-on time with actual WP7 gadgets. It's impossible to know what will be in attendance there, but I think the HD3/HD7 is probably a safe bet.
