BlackPad to be unveiled today?

RIM will kick of the BlackBerry Devcon 2010 with a keynote featuring speakers like Co-CEO Mike Lazaridis and CTO David Yach. As reported the rumors point to the unveiling of the BlackBerry Tablet aka BlackPad. RIM is nice enough to offer a live video webcast of the keynote. You just need to install the Microsoft Silverlight Player Plugin and you are ready to go.

The Devcon keynote starts at 1pm PDT. The BlackBerry Devcon 2010 is taking place in the San Francisco Moscone Center.

The BlackPad is rumored to have a 7-inch screen, two cameras, Bluetooth and wireless connection via a BlackBerry phone. Some think the BlackPad will run an OS from QNX. RIM bought QNX a couple of months ago. The BlackPad is predicted to be a companion device to a BlackBerry Phone. RIM is aiming solely at enterprise costumers.

The Devcon is for developers. So most announcements will only be interesting to them. It is unclear if RIM will unveil any new BlackBerry OS 6 devices as well.

The webcast will be available on this page. Update: The BlackBerry PlayBook Tablet has been unveiled. Get all the BlackBerry PlayBook Details.
