October 6 starts the Information Revolution.

Wolfram Alpha, the "answer engine" that may be the search engine of the future, is coming to Android this October. Instead of giving a list of websites as an answer to your query, WA calculates an answer based on structured data. Popular Science voted it the "greatest computer innovation" of last year.

Now Phandroid reports that Wolfram has announced the Android version of their answer engine on their blog. It was built for Android 1.6 and above and has support for voice input and location awareness.

Downloads will begin on October 6. Expect the cost to be around $1.99.
