The Karate Kid is available at Amazon for $22.99.

This movie will be released on October 5, 2010. It is a two-disc Blu-ray/DVD Combo plus the added bonus of having a digital copy. This allows you to download the movie to other portable devices and watch the movie just about anywhere. You also get $4.00 worth of eligible movies and TV shows from Amazon Video on Demand after you order this movie.

This is a story about a 12-year-old boy named Dre Parker played by Jaden Smith. In his hometown of Detroit he could have been very popular, but his mother's job makes for big changes in Dre's life. Her latest career move has them moving to, of all places, China. When Dre gets there, he quickly becomes friends with his classmate Mei Ying. The cultural differences however strongly interfere with their friendship. Dre is suddenly the target of a bully, Cheng. Dre knows little of kung fu and is easily taken down by Cheng. That is when Mr. Han the maintenance man/ master of kung fu comes in. He agrees to teach Dre the true way of kung fu. He teaches him discipline and that the true meaning of kung fu is not about punches and parries, but maturity and calm. Dre realizes he is in for the fight of his life.
