Motorola ES400S: Sprint in October

Sprint has just sent out a press release announcing the imminent coming of Motorola's first enterprise handset. The ES400S will be on Sprint's network by the end of October. It will start at $499.99 for business customers and $549.99 with a new line or eligible upgrade / 2 year service agreement. It requires Sprint's Business Advantage Messaging & Data Plan.

This phone has "superior ruggedness" and uses Windows Mobile 6.5.3. It packs a biometric finger reader and a 3" VGA touchscreen. It meets MIL-STD 810G specifications and IP42. The camera is a 3.2 MP shooter with a red line aimer for barcode scanning. Expect a/b/g WiFi, GPS and 3G.

The ES400S will sell with a 1540 mAH battery and a 3080 extended battery for field work.
