New Sony Ericsson LiveView tiny OLED Gadget lets you see Tweets and Facebook Updates

The Sony Ericsson LiveView is a micro display with remote control functionality that mirrors the activities of your mobile phone. With the cool little display you can read text messages, see incoming calls and keep up to date with the latest news on Facebook and Twitter. Of course I could just pull out my phone to see what is going on, but the Sony Ericsson LiveView sparks gadget affection.

The Sony Ericsson LiveView allows you to control the Sony Ericsson music features of the handset from the micro display, selecting tracks and controlling volume. LiveView also serves as a calendar reminder, displaying calendar events and other phone applications.

The LiveView device connects via Bluetooth to your phone and features a 1.3-inch color OLED display with 128x128px. It works not only with the Sony Ericsson Xperia X10, but with other Android 2.0 and above phones. Watch a video below that demonstrates the LiveView.

The Sony Ericsson LiveView will be available in stores from Q4, 2010.
