AT&T gets another exclusivity deal?

Microsoft and AT&T are gearing up to change the world of smartphones. October 11 will see the launch of a whole new line of Windows Phone 7 mobiles. AT&T will start selling their first models in "early November." (WSJ)

AT&T will be the "initial exclusive U.S. carrier" for WP7. They will have three handsets at the start of things. One from Samsung, one from LG and one from HTC. We don't know the terms of this (apparently) limited exclusivity agreement. An iPhone-style exclusivity agreement definitely would NOT be the best thing for WP7. They have a lot of catching-up to do in terms of market share.
