End of September model numbers of new Palm phones appeared in a certification database fueling hope that new Palm smartphones are coming soon. Now PreCentral has some more information, which are still rumors at this point. A Palm webOS phone with codename Mansion is in the works and it has a screen with 800x480px and no physical keyboard.
Other rumors point to announcements of new Palm phones this month. Since HP acquired Palm earlier this year the big question is if and when HP is releasing webOS phones. HP bought Palm in April. 6 months should be enough to get the integration done and get new products ouit. On the other hand October will be dominated by the Windows Phone 7 launch. Microsoft is kicking off the WP7 launch next week.
