Acer has unveiled the latest in its Aspire One netbook line called the AOD255. The machine will be available in several colors and will come with two processor options. One of the available processors is the dual-core Atom N550 and the single-core N450 will be offered as well.

The netbook promises 8-hours of runtime per charge. It has a 10.1-inch screen and is an inch thick with a weight of 2.5 pounds making it very portable. The netbook also has WiFi and the LED backlit screen is 22.2% more power efficient than previous screen offerings.

The netbook has a 93% full0size keyboard and features a 1.3MP webcam with a digital mic. Memory is 1GB of DDR3 and the machine stores to a 250GB HDD. The OS is Windows 7 Starter. The N550 version starts at $329.99 and the N450 version starts at $269.99 with both shipping this month.
