Verizon Wireless and Casio have unveiled a new rugged mobile phone for users called the Ravine. The new phone will land in Verizon stores soon and is a phone designed for outdoors types that need something that can survive the elements. The phone is made to withstand skiing, surfing, hiking, hunting, and more.
The device has PTT and runs on the Verizon 3G network. The phone is MIL-STD-810G compliant for water, dust, shock, and vibration resistance. The phone features a 3.2MP camera that can record video as well. It also has text to speech and voice dictation and Clear Talk noise cancellation.
The phone is also compatible with VZ Navigator and more. It has a variety of apps installed that let the outdoors types keep up to date with weather, tides, and more. The Ravine will cost $149.99 after a $50 MIR and a new contract.
