Besides the Sony Google TV series, Sony is also expected to unveil a Sony Google TV Blu-ray player. Earlier this year though settop box popped up at the FCC according to Engadget. The Sony NSZ-GT1 has Internet TV Box written on the label that showed up at the FCC.
Since then reports actually suggest that Sony is unveiling a Google TV Blu-ray player on October 12th. SonyInsider reports now that the NSZ-GT1 was spotted on an internal Sony website. The page mentioned that the Sony NSZ-GT1 has an eject button, Wi-Fi module and HDMI cable. An eject button would mean that the Sony NSZ-GT1 is a Blu-ray player with Google TV.
A Sony Google TV settop box would directly compete with the Logitech Revue Google TV box that got unveiled yesterday. Since Google is launching the Android based Google TV only with two hardware manufactures it would not make sense to offer directly competing products.
Update:
Sony NSZ-GT1 Google TV Blu-ray Player is officially announced and ships in October.
