CES considers everything with batteries as gadgets.

CES 2011 will take on car shows with the new Electric Vehicle TechZone. The CES Electric Vehicle TechZone will showcase the full range of high and low speed electric vehicles, energy storage devices and charging solutions. Now I also understand that Audi Chairman Rupert Stadler will deliver a CES keynote.

Exhibiting in the electric cars and electric car related gear will be Audi, Ford, Toyota and GM OnStar.

Cars are in general are already packed with tons of gadgets and the innovation is not stopping. Internet connectivity, voice recognition and vehicle applications are all major in-vehicle trends at the 2011 CES. The Location Based Services TechZone is also returning to the show floor as the premier location for providers of custom technologies, services and advertising sent to portable and in-car navigation devices based on current location.

The new Electric Vehicle TechZone will occupy 3,500 square feet of dedicated exhibit space in the North Hall of the Las Vegas Convention Center (LVCC).

The CES 2011 will open its doors on January 6th in Las Vegas. We will of course provide in-depth coverage all new CES 2011 announcements. Expect the first major CES News already in December. Find all CES 2011 News on our CES Hub.
